TARGETED WAGE SUBSIDY & YOUTH STRATEGY WAGE SUBSIDY

This is a program to assist unemployed workers to gain permanent full time employment for which they may not normally have been considered. It provides a wage reimbursement to employers to help defray the costs associated with the new employee’s orientation to the work site and job. If a worker is eligible a marketing letter is provided. SELF EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS PROGRAM

The Norfolk District Business Development Corporation and Grand Erie Business Centre offer the Self Employment Benefits program is for unemployed entrepreneurs looking to start their own business. It provides business monitoring and mentorship for 52 weeks and financial assistance in the form of a taxable grant for up to 40 weeks to assist with personal living expenses during the first year of business.
