This service is designed to provide on-the-job work experience to unemployed people who are or have recently been eligible to receive Employment Insurance and are experiencing difficulty in finding work and to enable employers to hire people who face barriers to employment by offering temporary wage subsidies.

• Unemployed
• Currently in receipt of Employment Insurance benefits
• Formerly in receipt of E.I. benefits (claim ended within the past three years or, if on maternity or parental leave, within the past five years)

• Permanent full-time work (minimum 35 hours per week)
• Hourly paid or salaried, with regular deductions made by the employer
• Not self-employment, subcontracted, commission or contract
